That's not the case with my man Omotayo. After bumpin' his album you'll realize that this gift has always been in him and he just needed an outlet to use his gift of rhymin' in a positive way. One cut that stood out to me on the whole album was the joint "Sinners Prayer" where he pours out his heart and gives us a peak into a struggling walk with God. Many artists have came out with the phrase "Open Book" but O straight takes it to where each and every Christian lives or has lived at one time or another. "I've been thinking evil, thoughts about people/I walk around like I'm holy when I know I have issues. I ain't been prayin', I ain't been fastin'/I said your word was my medicine and I ain't took an asprin. People talk about you I just sit back and listen/I said I was your disciple but I ain't been witnessin'. I ain't been payin' tithes I just give a little offering/I've been tellin' lies and I really feel awful when....people callin' me a man of God, I guess they can see my heart/ but my mind so marred. The last one at church and first one to leave the service/He'll find my mind driftin' while we're having praise and worship. I've been a bad husband and even worse as a father/The devil in my ear like, "Why even bother?". You said the afflictions of the righteaus are many/Sometimes I even wonder if any righteousness is in me." That boy was flowin'. You'll have to hear the beat he's spittin' over to get the full effect of the song. Since he's been in the hip hop game he's linked up with my boy Brinson over at Godchaserz Entertainment and to me it's inevitable that O will drop a banger if he's associating with Brinson's camp. If he continues to stay on fire for God the next two years will be trailblazing for Omotayo. Check out Omotayo at www.myspace.com/victorywithchrist written by Moeski

As I was searching through my mixtape library I came across an album that I didn't take time to listen to which was Omotayo's mixtape, Iconoclast. When I popped in his joint I was quite impressed at my man's rhyme skills and delivery. After reading that he's only been saved for two years I realized that my man is hungry for God and immediately hopped in to what he's on this earth to do. For majority of new believers we're just getting our walk right after two years. I'm so glad this wasn't another case of a person that just got saved and is over-zealous for God and wanted to start a career rappin' for Christ. We've all seen that happen and the results are disastrous.
