Now that you have an idea of who Tim is, I want to introduce you to his brother Believin' Stephen Brindle. Just like the Jacksons, the DeBarges, the Leverts and the Winans, the Brindles are born with a gift of lyrical genius. I wouldn't be surprised if the next generations of Brindles rhyme after Tim and Stephen retire from the game. Stephen is a cat that you don't see a lot of on a daily basses. He doesn't have six music leaks a weak or 12 mixtapes out. To me Stephen is a cat that lives in the lab for like a year and just when everyone starts askin' about his whereabouts he drops a napalm bomb on the listeners like he did with his latest release, The Perseverance Mixtape. The wordplay this dude uses is sick enough to put the average emcee in ICU but has so much life in the lyrics that it'll revive the dead. My favorite joint where he displays this skill that I'm talking about is called "Repeat Rhymes". He goes hard on the Big L instrumental, "Platinum Plus". "Like Steve Kerr, man, I am a white bull/I eat cereal, eat from a white bowl. Got hungry for fruit, ate two pears/Got Air Force Ones, got two pairs. You got Armani, you got good jeans/You got good looks, you got good genes. Roads were kinda slick, started gettin' icy/you bought a new chain, started gettin' icy. Preacher tellin' you to read the text/Got a message on your cell and you read the text. You listen to Billy, you hung with the Holiday/Christmas vacation, I'm home for the holiday. Got ornaments you hung on the tree/Christ suffered on the cross, hung on the tree. Back in high school I used to have a 4-0/See me at the parties always had a 4-0. Secular rap, I bump copyright/Now I read the word, you got a copy, right? I got my word I got my canon, canon/You play quarterback you got a canon, canon. Car got stolen now you rely on the club/You wanna have fun so you rely on the club." This is only an appetizer from a lyrical buffet the Stephen serves up on his phenomenal mixtape. Like I tell you every week, keep this emcee on your radar and download his mixtape to add to your collection to bump in your ride. written by Moeski |

For those that have been around the Christian Hip Hop game for a minute may have come across the name Timothy Brindle that runs with the Lampmode crew. If you haven't heard of Tim then you're doing your eardrums and mind an injustice and you need to look my man up because he straight rips it. To all my true hip hop heads out there do you remember Jay-Z's cut, "Renegade", featuring Eminem? Well, many said that Em murdered the track better that Jay himself and few would argue that. Well back in '05 on Shai Linne's "Solus Christus" project, he had a cut on there called Angelz featuring Evangel and Tim Brindle. I'm not here to cause debate but personally, I think Tim shined the brightest on that cut. Shai and Evangel brought it, don't get me wrong. But Tim took ownership of that track.
